Mullard 12AU7 / ECC82 New Production Preamp Vacuum Tube
Remarkable improvement comparing the jj tubes that replaced .Before it was a bit muddy, but now it has a clear, warm tone. Silky smooth strings, piano tones have the higher harmonics and overall the sound is richer than with the JJ.

Good solid performance for the price. Using them in a phono board on a PAS-NGT pre-amp. Have used this similar tube in a VTA ST-70 amp as the power tube feeds. Produced solid mid and low range acoustics for my system. Held together well with both symphonic and rock music. The high end is a bit reserved at times. Had to tube roll my EL34s a couple times to get the right match for my tastes.

Tube neophyte, so reader beware. I recently entered the world of tubes with a Yaqin MS-12B preamp for my Rega P2 stock TT. After spending 20 hours listening to the stick Chinese tubes, I put the Mullards Ax7 and Au7’s in. The sound improvement was very noticeable. The mullards offerred a much more detailed sound. Crimson & Clover sounded flat until I put in the mullards to fully appreciate the song on my modest system.

Excellent Tube, I like it in my Vox Lil Night Train as well as my Blackstar HT1RH.
